Shiplap- Plank Wall Tutorial

After sharing Portlynn's Nursery I received many requests to share exactly how we achieved the shiplap-wood plank look in her room. Since our home was a new build I knew there wasn't any beautiful shiplap hiding beneath the drywall and it made more sense to add wood to the surface to create the look.

Supply list:

click each item to see exactly what we purchased and how we cut down on cost by buying specific products in bulk such as paint and wood.

TIP: order your paint and wood online through Home Depot and you wont have to pull every 8x4 ft sheet of wood of the shelves by your self! Saves you time and energy!  I also purchased the 5 gallon bucket of paint as shown and didn't add any tint to the color.

chop saw

paint

nail gun

rag

a handful of nickels (3 will usually do it)

pencil
